ABOUT THE CLUB

After a successful year of training and competing, we are now looking forward to the start of the 2018/19 season and more great performances and medals. We welcome back our existing members and also those of you starting in UL this year. We are always happy to welcome new members (of all levels) into the club.  Come and chat to us any night at training where we will provide you with all the information you require. For further information contact us through one of our committee members or send email to ulac01@gmail.com.Congratulations on achieving your first goal of getting to UL, now you should join the UL Athletics Club and help us to achieve our Goals.... to reclaim the glory that comes with title of top college in Ireland!:)From finishing a 5k to national championships we can be part of your journey. If you think that you would like to be involved in a club that trains hard, and plays hard, all you have to do is sign up.It's also a great chance to meet new friends and the perfect way to get a break from study,assignments etc!ULAC compete in the university road relays,indoor and cross country competitions and the biggest event of the year the outdoor varsities. There are plenty of chances to compete throughout the academic year and into the summer months, and our athletics competitions will take you all over Ireland.

If you want just want to stay fit or specialize in one area come down any evening to the track. Everyone is welcome! 
Sprints Training:Monday and Thursday: Warm up @ 6.30 for 7pm start at the track  
Distance Training: Tuesday & Thursday: Warmed up for 6.45pm on pitches beside UL track

Athletics Track

Newly refurbished track with all necessary equipment in near by storage space. 
Sprints and Jumps group train Monday, Wednesday and Thursday each week. Distance group train Tuesday and Thursday each week.

Olympic-Sized Pool

Pop in the the near by UL Sports Arena to make use of the Olympic sized swimming pool. Perfect for a recovery or rehab session. Aqua jogging classes also available.

Fitness Studio

Pop into the UL Sports Arena to find a selection of classes in the Fitness Studio, such as Pilates, Yoga, Body Pump, etc.

UL Sports Arena also offers a well equipped gym. A variety of equipment is provided along with a popular free weights section.
